Västerbotten is still at the top in the country – but the trend has levelled off. The green line represents rechargeable cars sold, and the grey line cars powered by fossil fuels.
In the second quarter, from April to June, 1,038 cars were registered in Västerbotten. Of these, 60 per cent were rechargeable, with 33 per cent being fully electric. This marks the first decrease in newly registered rechargeable cars in Västerbotten since 2024.
Vännäs leads the municipalities with 85 per cent rechargeable cars, followed by Lycksele at 80 per cent and Vindeln at 69 per cent. Skellefteå is in eighth place, with 58 per cent of its 240 new car registrations being rechargeable.
This is the share of all newly registered cars in the municipalities that were rechargeable.
