Mikael Kubu told the radio programme Ekot that a foreign interested party has put in a bid to buy the entirety of the bankruptcy estate – that includes both the factory in Skellefteå and the development centre in Västerås.
– We now have an indicative bid on the table and hope for more indicative bids. At the same time as there is a great deal of conditions when it comes to these bids and these conditions must be possible to meet, Mikael Kubu tells Ekot.
According to Ekot this is a non-binding bid that can be seen as a start of more concrete negotiations. Kubu says that there are three potential buyers of the operations and that it is the first time that a bid has been made for the bankruptcy estate as a whole. He does not want to share any details about the bidder.
He tells Ekot that the negotiations are moving forward and he counts on receiving another bid today:
– Yes, it’s moving forward. Then of course there is a limited amount of time and the problem is that there are fewer and fewer employees and a buyer will naturally not just want to buy machines but will also need the right expertise. It’s still a fight against the clock.
