In the second evening of the Summertime festival, intoxication was the major issue that the police and security guards had to deal with. A total of ten people are reported to have been taken into custody in accordance with the Act on Care of Intoxicated Persons. In several of these cases legal guardians were also contacted which suggests that the person in question is underaged. In addition to this eight people are said to have been handed over to the social services.
“There were many intoxicated minors in the festival area. Because of this the police would like to encourage legal guardians to have the courage to talk to their children about their attitudes to alcohol”, the police writes on their website.
In addition to drunkenness, one person was fined for public urination. A police report on violence against a public official was drafted after an incident that occurred when a person was taken into custody for intoxication. An assault by an unknown perpetrator was also reported to the police.
In total the security guards turned 30 people away from the festival area.
