Planned rental apartments.
Norran has conducted two surveys about what is currently being built or planned: one for rental apartments and one for condominiums.
Even though housing construction is currently hindered by the economic downturn, everyone knows that there is a significant housing shortage in Skellefteå that will persist for a long time. Therefore, both the municipality and housing companies are making plans for the future.
You can read about the planned rental apartments, here. What has happened since the article was written is that Skebo is taking over Heimstaden's site in Anderstorp, which is number 15 on the map. They will build the same residential buildings that Heimstaden had in mind, so the number of apartments will remain the same. But keep an eye on the waiting list if you want these apartments.
Also, project 19 in Sörböle has been cancelled and will be launched as condominiums (apartments for sale, not rental) instead.
Construction 2 on the map is taking place in Kåge, where 188 future rental apartments are being built for the company Arkadia. We visited this construction site here.
A brand new construction project is taking place on Getberget (number 4 on the map), where Lindbäcks Bygg is building apartments for Skebo. The foundations for the three buildings have been laid here.
But even though the main interest now is in renting apartments, it is expected that there will be more interest in buying when interest rates stabilize. Here is the overview of all the planned condominiums . Since the map was created, another project has been added, located at the intersection of Skråmträskvägen/Brogatan in Sörböle and carried out by UGM Fastigheter.
