Despite an updated model, Tesla's sales are plummeting across Europe, reports VK.
In Sweden, the drop is a staggering 81 percent.
Between January and March 2025, just 14 Teslas were sold in Västerbotten. Eight of those went to private buyers, five to regular businesses, and one to a taxi or transport company.
During the same period last year, 48 Teslas were sold. In the years before that—2022 and 2023—the figure for the first quarter was 70 in both years.
– It’s clear that Tesla sales in Västerbotten are suffering. The drop is significant, both among private buyers and companies, says Sebastian Fröberg, customer development manager at Vroom, to VK.
He notes that the Tesla brand is closely tied to its owner, Elon Musk, and to what he says and does.
– It stirs up emotions, which in turn creates uncertainty. Private buyers become more cautious, and companies may have changed their vehicle policies, says Fröberg.
