At 12:00 on Friday, the staff were called to an “all hands” meeting at the bankrupt Northvolt.

According to several employees Norran has spoken to, the meeting began with management pointing out that there have been leaks to the media, and that they therefore would not “reveal everything”.

After that, Matthias Arleth, chief operating officer at Northvolt, repeated that they are still “in discussions with several investors who are ready to take the next step,” according to Norran’s sources. He reportedly also said that talks are ongoing with politicians in Sweden and the EU regarding this.

Not much new, in other words.

– I don’t think they have anything new to say, so they repeat the same thing to keep people coming to work, says an employee who spoke to Norran.

Earlier, bankruptcy trustee Mikael Kubu said that operations at the Skellefteå factory will continue until the end of May.

What happens after that is still undecided, said Northvolt management at Friday’s meeting.

– They say more information will come at the end of May, says an employee.
