The yellow warning is in effect from 20:00 Wednesday night until 6:00 Thursday morning.

"On Wednesday evening, snowfall will move into the region. Snowfall may be heavy at times," SMHI writes on its website.

Up to 10 centimeters of new snow is expected by Thursday morning, locally up to 20 centimeters.

At the same time, it will be quite windy with brisk to locally strong northeast wind gusts, according to SMHI.

At this time, it is difficult to determine exactly how much snowfall is expected.

A yellow warning means that travel will be slowed due to slippery conditions, slush, poor visibility and blowing snow. This can result in limited road access, such as roads that haven't been plowed or due to traffic accidents that haven't been cleared, according to the SMHI website.

There is also a risk of delays for bus, train, and air travel, and departures may be canceled.

"Snowfall can at times become heavy," writes SMHI on its website.
